Heritage Revival will be attending Henley Design Day for the second year running on the 23rd March. The RIBA organises this event to bring together local architects, and some relate services, in the Town Hall to be available for the general public to drop in and discuss their ideas or schemes. Last year Heritage Revival publicly launched at Henley Design Day, and one year later we are happy to be celebrating a major collaborative working achievement with the talented Bronwen Gombert of Connected Architecture.

Our working relationship developed over the last two years via our Berkshire Women Architects Meet-up group. An opportunity to work together presented itself on one of our projects which involved a group of listed farm barns to be converted into a wedding venue and education centre with associated self-catering rooms. Following a pre-application Heritage Revival, Connected Architecture and Lynda Carroll Architects collectively delivered the planning and listed building consent submission in the short time frame required to achieve the client’s deadline. We shall exhibit our farm scheme at Henley Design Day this year.

For select schemes Heritage Revival and Connected Architecture can offer clients complementary skills which bring together the refurbishment of listed properties with standalone new-build. Each play to their strengths to offer clients a rich architectural experience for the more complex projects.

If a property is listed its status is likely to influence any new development within its context. Get in touch with Claire Truman at Heritage Revival in the first instance to review if your ideas for a new-build within the grounds of your listed property might benefit from this collaborative approach.

Do come and say hello on Saturday 23rd March at the Town Hall in Henley upon Thames, between 10am – 3.30pm – we look forward to meeting you!
